Helix Editor Tutorial 2 - Basic Movement and Selection in Helix

Basic movement and selection in Helix - Use h, j, k, l to move down, up left and right. - e move to end of next word - b move to the start of the previous word - w move to the start of the next word - Your cursor is basically just a one character selection. - If you press shift W, E and B, Helix will ignore comma, full stop and parentheses and so on and only stop at whitespace - fCHAR jumps to the next occurence of the character. - tCHAR jumps to right before the next occurence of the character ("till"). - F and T go in the other direction. - Note that in Helix, unlike Vim, these movements are not limited to the current line. - Ctrl-b and Ctrl-f move a page up and down. - Ctrl-u and Ctrl-d move half a page up and down. - NUMBERG moves to that line number. - NUMBERj and NUMBERk move that many lines up or down. - Prepending numbers also works with movements like e and w btw. - x selects a whole line - ; to collapse the selection to cursor.
