My Favorite Mechanical Keyboard: A DIY 3D Printed and Handwired Custom

In this video I will show you my favorite 3D printed mechanical keyboard and how you can build your own DIY handwired mechanical keyboard. This model was originally designed by Thingiverse user Fumbucker. I will be sharing my modified design. The keyboard uses a teensy 2.0 to run QMK Firmware. This build could also be completed with an Arduino Pro Micro or a Teensy 2.0++ This video will discuss the following topics: How to build a 3D printed keyboard How to build a handwired keyboard Easy way to write QMK Firmware How to flash a teensy microcontroller This project has been updated to include ANSI and ISO layouts. //Check out the 3D Modeling process in this video: // Follow me on Twitch: //Support My Content // Files Needed 3D Model and Firmware: // Software Needed Arduino IDE: Teensyduino: // Website links Keyboard Layout Editor: #/ Keyboard Firmware Builder: Keyboard Tester: // Equipment Needed 1 - Teensy 2.0: 68 - 1N4148 Diodes: 68 - of your favorite mechanical keyboard switches: Keycaps: Stabilizers: 1 - USBC Breakout board: 8 - 12mm M3 bolts: 8 - 20mm M3 bolts: 16 - M3 nuts: //Tools I Use Electric Screwdriver: Tool Kit: Soldering Iron: Fume Extractor: Multitool: #mechanicalkeyboards #keyboards #electronics
