This video expands on the 2-Meter band plan as defined by the ARRL with a lot of input from members. A band plan is a gentleman's agreement on where certain modes and activities can be done in order to best meet the needs of the most number of users. With the exception of a small slice at the bottom of the band where only CW may be used, in accordance with international treaties, the rest of the band plan has no legal definition. Hence, me referring to it as a gentleman's agreement. In the U.S. the band plan was developed by the ARRL with significant input from the membership.
