In this video I’ll show you how to use an ESP8266 (ESP-12E) to control a regular device – in my case, a dehumidifier! With just an ESP8266 and few wires you can turn any “dumb” device into a smart one that you can control from your phone or home automation system. This project works not only for a dehumidifier but for almost any device with buttons. ⚠️ Warning ‼️ A very important observation: I forgot to mention that after implementing this, the touch sensors on the buttons connected to the ESP no longer detect your finger, so manual control doesn’t work anymore. If I find a solution that’s simple and easy to implement, I’ll let you know in the comments. 📌 Related links: - Full YAML code: - Bubble-Card: - ESPHome: - ESPHome Web: 🔗 As an Amazon Associate, I earn from qualifying purchases.
