Building a Split USB-C Handwired Keyboard

The new year is fast approaching and I wanted to get one more build out. This is the Scotto44 which is a 3x6 column-staggered split keyboard that uses a USB-C cable as the interconnect and is powered by Raspberry Pi Picos. The switches are a mix of Kailh speed bronze and pale blues along with custom 3u stabilizers for the action button on each half. ~ Links ~ Scotto44: Website: Support me: ~ Handwiring Tools ~ TS100 Soldering Iron: D24 Chisel Tip: 63/37 Solder: Wire Strippers: Electric Screwdriver: ~ Handwiring Parts ~ 1N4148 Diodes: 16g Copper Wire: Raspberry Pi Pico: Arduino Pro Micro: Ethernet Cable: M2x6mm Screws: M2x8mm Spacer: M2 Heat Set Insert: Durock Stabilizers: ~ 3D Printing ~ Ender-3 Pro: Ender-3 Max: PEI Magnetic Bed: Dual Z Upgrade: BLTouch Auto-Leveling: Sonic Pad: Deburring Tool: Elegoo Filament: ~ Favorite Cheap Switches ~ Gateron Milky Yellow: Akko Lavender Purple: ~ Social ~ ~ Community ~ ScottoKeebs Discord: Handwired Keyboards Reddit: ~ Timestamps ~ 0:00 - Intro 0:11 - About 2:11 - Switches 2:49 - Stabilizer 3:35 - Columns 4:56 - Rows 5:59 - Controller 8:04 - Interconnect 8:26 - Wiring 10:30 - Assembly 11:11 - Keycaps 12:07 - Plexiglass 12:43 - Finished 13:34 - Typing 13:50 - Outro ~ Disclaimer ~ Some links may be affiliate links where I will make a small commission.
