****ONLY DECIMATE WHEN YOU ARE COMPLETELY DONE SCULPTING ON THE MESH**** . . Decimating is a great option to retain detail while cutting down the file size. I decimate an item once I know I am done sculpting on it to save RAM and improve performance. . . Closing holes makes sure there are no structural holes within the walls of your mesh. This usually checks the mesh for parts of it that is lacking a “face” and closes those parts so your mesh doesn’t have really thin walls within it. . . Forcing Manifold makes the sculpt “watertight”. What this means is the sculpt is completely solid throughout. This is what you want when you are 3D printing anything. . . .
