Living Alone in a Rustic Log Cabin! | Flooring the Cabin Before Winter Arrives in the Wilderness

After finishing the foundation for my wood stove, I decided not to wait any longer and began building the cabin floor. I split the flooring process into two episodes. In this video, you’ll see the first part, and in the next one I’ll fully complete the insulation and install the wooden floor. I also decided to prepare a bit more food for the winter. My uncle caught a lot of trout and kindly shared some with me — I’m really grateful for that. So I made a few jars of trout stew in my old pressure canner. To make it heartier, I added pearl barley, and honestly, the result turned out delicious. Winter is very close now. Unfortunately, I didn’t manage to finish closing up the exterior of the house in time, so some interior work will have to be done in freezing temperatures. But to be honest, I even prefer working in the cold rather than in the heat. There’s still a lot to do before the cabin becomes warm and cozy, but I have the energy and motivation to keep going. See you soon in the next episode.
