Making Wood Night Stands from a Huge Red Oak I Cut Down and Milled

Before buildng the stone chicken coop in 2024, I had to cut down a diseased red oak tree that was leaning towards the coop. I milled the smaller logs into lumber and let it dry for a year. This fall, I cut four cookie slabs, 24" wide, from one of the logs and used them as table tops. I treated them with epoxy and made simple box bases to place them on - basic, rustic end tables for our bedroom in our off grid log cabin.
