On this summer day we only have a few hours in Genoa – but it becomes the true beginning of our Sicily road trip. We wander through the narrow alleys of the old town, visit beautiful churches, cool off at Piazza De Ferrari, try delicious focaccia and gelato… and then drive our camper van onto the ferry from Genoa to Palermo. In this video, we take you along for a family-friendly day in Genoa and show what it’s really like to board the ferry to Sicily with a camper van and a kid: from the streets of the old town, to life on board, to waking up with the first views of Palermo and driving straight to a campground in the city.
