Safety professionals need to interpret a variety of charts including load charts for different lifting machines--cranes, forklifts, excavators, elevators, etc. In this video we take a look at the load charts for a Manitowoc Lattice Boom Crawler. Please keep in mind this chart only applies to a specific model of crane and there are slightly different layouts used by crane manufacturers. All manufacturers do focus on the same three primary variables affecting a crane's chart capacity--boom length, radius, and boom angle. The presenter is Dr. Doug Martin.
