One of the key principles to graphing polynomials is being able to determine where their roots lie (on the x-axis). In this video I show you how a fully factorised polynomial reveals its roots quite easily. In subsequent videos I will show three "variations on the theme" that cause difficulties for some students and then demonstrate how this skill can be used to rapidly sketch the graphs of polynomial equations that have been provided in senior school examinations in New South Wales, Australia. I hope you find the videos helpful and relevant to your mathematical needs. If you wish to be informed of each video as I produce it, please subscribe to my channel. It would be appreciated if you would like and/or comment on this video as well -- especially if these suggestions have helped you.
