The sort options in Google Sheets – the SORT() function, the Data options, and column sorts – only allow alphabetical sorts, either ascending or descending. However, a custom sort order is possible using a range to define the sort order, a MATCH() function in a helper column to find the correct ranking of each item, and then sorting on that helper column.
