I strongly recommend you check that out instead if you're into restoring the look and feel on your PS3. --------------------------------------------------------------------------- I recently installed Evilnat CFW onto my fat PS3 for the sole purpose of restoring assets from older firmware that were changed/removed with updates. So far, the changes include the background being changed to black, the original PSN logo along with the coldboot text and gameboot sequence with original sounds added. As far as I'm aware, the only things that are missing from the XMB are the original loading icon and information board. Unfortunately, I don't know how to add them yet. If anyone can fill me in, I'm all ears. However, I noticed that the original loading icon is still present during the firmware update process on the screen with "Checking for update data..." text.
