⚠️ Partially blocked in Belarus, Russia | Violence and blood warning (not very detailed but still) PowerDirector didn't render this correctly the 1st time for absolutely no apparent reason I was actually about to crash out before I found the problem; for any PowerDirector 25 users: I'd recommend using framerate 💀 You'll find that this is drastically different from the og scene - I just didn't want to repeatedly edit Kiros walking around a scared pride of lions while singing for 2 minutes ok 💀BTW David Colman's storyboard for this scene looked SO GOOD... the choreography of the animals would have looked a bit awkward with the live-action style, I'll admit, but at least the scene is stylized and creative!! the studio just looked at it and went "oh, this is so original! GET RID OF IT" istg 😭 I showed the massacre of Obasi's pride because I totally thought it would be in the movie ngl - at the very least, I expected a fight. But the movie just cuts away to another scene before any actual battle happens and it's like, wow... I know Kiros and his pride literally killed an ENTIRE valley of lions but it's kinda hard to take him seriously if he can't even kill a single teenage lion on screen, yk also can I point out the stupidity of the choice to remove the female background singers from the final scene??? it sounds so incredibly dumb... in the soundtrack version, the lionesses are saying "Like a dream that just doesn't let up, let up/And you scream 'cause you cannot get up, get up!" while Kiros is singing "strong~," and then they go "So long" at the end.
