Understanding shaders is easy, actually

Shader code can be scary but... Well, it is scary, but it's also quite simple! Here I'm mentioning some of the basics of GLSL (OpenGL Shader Language) shaders, specifically the fragment shader. At random points I've needed to use some shader effects, like doing black & white, or making a Gameboy theme, or even making a distortion shader! But that last part- making that distortion shader is what helped me actually understand them. And now it's your turn to understand them. Good luck. Yes, writing the description does kinda feel like writing an essay homework. Shut up. And if you'd like to mess around with shaders, here's "Shadertoy", the website I mentioned! Try making your own shaders here: ...and if you're still reading this, check tout Twenty Six, my upcoming multiverse-arcade game! Lastly, here's the cool website I found and used for the card graphics. It's quite cool!
