This is an open source survey solver for Maya, similar to the wonderful LSF solver in 3D Equalizer. mmSolver will solve Maya cameras, objects and/or even combinations of joints, e.g. wrists/elbow/shoulders in rotomation. Any Maya transform attributes can be solved or locked (using dynamic curve editor animation). This first pre-release version still needs a little refinement, but the tool is already being used in high end production. Currently available in compiles for Maya 2016/2017, Linux CentOS 7. Other OS compiles possible. Create 2D tracks in 3DE, then export those to your Maya camera using .txt or .uv files (normalized!) Primary author is David Cattermole. Based on the Google Ceres solver, which can potentially also handle multiple cameras and NURBS curve solving. This Maya tool is a great complement to 3D Equalizer.
