My 5 General Rules to Freeform Modeling in Fusion

In this video we are going to break down some of the basic guidelines I follow for all Freeform Parts. Like everything some rules are meant to be broken, but these 5 things will help make your Forms modeling easier. 1. Fewest number of faces to create your shapes 2. Stick to 4-sided faces whenever possible and stick 3 and 5+ sided faces away from changes in curvature. 3. Limit Coplanar faces and Colinear edges 4. Copy bodies and key points in the design so you can go back if needed 5. Understand the limits of forms and use surface and solid tools where needed and when it makes sense. If you are just getting started in Fusion and are looking for some beginner content we have a beginner bundle on our site We also have mastery playlists for forms and for surfacing on this channel that we add to. 00:00 Introduction 02:30 Fewest Number Of Faces 09:13 Four Sided When Possible 14:00 Limit CoPlanar and CoLinear Regions 16:23 Copy Paste Bodies 18:22 Know the Limits of Forms 22:42 Recap 23:51 Conclusion
