I’ve finished making the router table. Watch how I installed the insert plate for my palm router into the plywood tabletop. I started by routing the recesses for the anchor screws and leveled the router support plate using folded paper to make it flush with the tabletop. I also drilled holes for the screws that anchor the plate and screwed it to the tabletop, along with more screws to attach the tabletop to some wooden strips. The idea was to use insert nuts in the workbench to cantilever the router table. Finally, I did a test cut and noticed that the fence is a bit short, and the wood has little support at the entry and exit points during the routing, but I’m already thinking of making a longer one to improve it.
