We are back in wales after a short break, at what is quickly becoming one of my favourite steam railways in the UK. The Talyllyn Railway held their annual enthusiasts weekend the 'Anything Goes' Gala in the first weekend of July 2025. Showcasing the lines working fleet of engines from top to bottom, this weekend has something for everyone. From double headers and inspection railcars, to goods trains and cavalcades, it's a gala to whiteness the worlds oldest privately preserved railway fanned out before you. A personal highlight of the weekend was the recreation of the 1950's 'Semi-Fast' services which were the afternoon departure from Tywyn Wharf, which on this day was double headed by 'Sir Haydn' & 'Talyllyn'. 0:00 'Toby' & 'Alf' 1:21 'Tom Rolt' 2:27 'Edward Thomas' 7:02 'Sir Haydn' 11:46 'Dolgoch' 15:45 'Talyllyn' 16:49 The Cavalcade As is ever typical in Wales, the weather wasn't particularly in our favour, but the wet weather has been a welcomed entity to help reduce the risk of lineside fires. Once again though it was a very enjoyable day, and special thanks to those organising what is a surprisingly complicated event to carry out. Hope you enjoy! @82AStudios @thetransporthub
