How To Replace Hardwired Smoke Alarms With First Alert 2-In-1 Smoke And Carbon Monoxide Alarms

How To Replace Hardwired Smoke Alarms With First Alert 2-In-1 Smoke And Carbon Monoxide Alarms In this video I show you how to replace old hardwired smoke alarms with First Alert 2-In-1 Smoke and Carbon Monoxide Alarms. The smoke and CO alarms in my house reached the 10 year old mark, so I figured it was time to replace them all throughout the house to ensure proper function and to keep my family safe. It's a bit of a process, but you can definitely do it yourself, so I recommend buying these smoke and CO alarms and following the steps in this video to replace them in your home. It's a longer video as I show you some of the challenges I had through the process, as well as how to resolve them. I also show you how to setup the location on each alarm so it will alert you to which room smoke, fire, or CO is detected. Since these are hardwired, all alarms communicate with each other so if smoke is detected in the basement, all other alarms will be triggered and state "smoke detected in basement", or any other location that has been programmed. It's pretty cool! Comment with any questions at all as you go through the steps to replace your smoke and CO alarms.
