New technology for doing web page layout makes implementing old designs much easier. What is even more exciting, we can do new things — and take graphic design on the web to new heights. The modernists accomplished such a feat in the early 20th century, breaking up old styles and old layouts from the Victorian era. Jen takes a Mondrian painting and recreates it on the web using CSS Grid as an experiment to learn about the new possibilities and to better understand what it means for design.
