Today begins with a peaceful morning coffee and collecting marigold seeds before saying goodbye to the last traces of summer. As we clear away the old plants and prepare the soil for autumn and winter, the garden begins a beautiful new chapter with fresh vegetables, flowers, and a new watering system. Between all the garden work, there's time for a homemade apple roll cake, freshly brewed filter coffee, and a little refresh of our coffee corner. Sometimes, slow living is simply about embracing change, finding beauty in ordinary moments, and appreciating the gentle rhythm of life in the countryside. Apple Filling: 6 apples Slightly less than 1 cup sugar 1 Turkish tea glass chopped walnuts (approx. 100 ml) 1 tsp cinnamon Sponge Cake: 3 eggs 1 cup sugar 1 tea glass milk (approx. 100 ml) 1½ cups all-purpose flour 10 g baking powder 5 g vanilla sugar Instructions: Peel and grate the apples. Cook with the sugar until the liquid evaporates, then stir in the walnuts and cinnamon. Spread the filling over a parchment-lined baking sheet. Beat the eggs and sugar until pale and fluffy. Add the milk, flour, baking powder, and vanilla sugar. Spread the batter over the apple mixture. Bake at 350°F (175°C) for approximately 25 minutes. While still warm, invert onto fresh parchment paper, remove the original paper, and carefully roll up the cake.
