Hi Everyone! TIMESTAMP FOR THE RENDER PASS PART: I'd thought I'd make another tutorial this month. When I started at a new studio there was a bit of a learning curve for me when it came to how to create render passes in Houdini. As previously working as a LRC Artist (lighting rendering and compositing) I was used to creating AOVs in Maya, but creating mattes, reflection passes, forced lighting, etc in Houdini was something different. This is not a vellum tutorial! I just you it to define the simulation from the other elements being rendered. . Render passes were also something I wanted to learn badly while making my demo reel as they make your FX fierce as hell. So I thought this might be a good way to share the joy of a great demo reel. Thanks to Alex CG for continuing to be patient with me. And understanding all my rookie mistakes. Thanks to Dav for sticking around with me while doing overtime, and it's been great sharing GO train rides with you. Sorry to the people around us who are tired of listening to nerds on the train talk. Even more thanks to my Soho crew for welcoming me to the studio and being incredibly amazing to work with. This is really an amazing adventure with you all, and I can't wait to see where it goes.
