Bosses. A crucial element of any Dark Souls game ...or are they? Well when a sentient lemon ask you to participate in a tournament to 1-shot them, who am I to ask why is it talking?? So TODAY we take on the ridiculous task of bringing down these behemoths in @TheBacklogs Dark Souls 2 One-shot contest. From One-shot, to One opportunity, this is a chaotic 55 minutes… What you have witnessed here today is part of a sublimely show of self-inflicted suffering series on youtube where I take already difficult games and push my sanity in completing them. So if you enjoyed this then be sure to watch more of my pain here: @UdderChaosTime And if even one of you smiles today and are better for it, then I've done my job. Don't you dare go hollow. The style of this video is similar to @ymfah , @GiantGrantGames , @BackseatStreams and @TheBacklogs in parts. Those guys greatly influence this channel, so of course share the love. DA RULES: (As Set by 🍋) character may be any class, and may start with any gift. your channel name as your character name. run officially begins when your character awakens in the Things Betwixt. gain 2 points every time you beat a target with a 0-shot or 1-shot. FURTHER CLARIFICATIONS , you may not summon NPCs to help you beat targets. , you may use enemies to beat targets for you (if that’s even possible). This counts as environmental damage, and therefore is a 0-shot so long as you do not interfere. the Thorn Ring/Old Sun Ring will count as an attack button press, regardless of the fact that you aren’t technically pressing a button. that cause debuffs to the target (but not damage) are allowed, much like Power Within was allowed in DS1. Essentially, so long as the target is at 100% health while you apply all of your buffs/debuffs, you haven't officially attacked yet. STATUS EFFECT RULING Status effects are much more powerful this go around, but also make things a bit complicated. So, if you plan on using a status effect in your attempt, please use the following rules. 1) If you apply a status effect without dealing any damage to the target, no hit will be recorded. But once the target begins to take damage from the status effect, the resulting damage will be considered a 1-shot. -Example : You cast Poison Mist on an enemy 5 times. Once the "Poison" effect triggers on the 5th cast, the resulting HP loss will count as a single shot. -Example 2 : You wear the Butterfly Armor set and stand next to an NPC. Once the "Poison" effect triggers, the resulting HP loss will count as a single shot. 2) If you attack an enemy after status damage occurs (or trigger the same/another status effect), that will count as an additional attack, bringing you to 2-shots. -Example : You cause a target to become "Poisoned" with the Butterfly Armor while simultaneously triggering "Toxic" with several casts of Toxic Mist. If this results in a target down, you will have done a 2-shot and will get 1 point. -Example 2: You cause a target to become "Poisoned" with the Butterfly Armor and then hit it with a Greatsword. If this results in a target down, you will have done a 2-shot and will get 1 point. 3) If you build up a status effect (but do not trigger any damage!), and then attack with a weapon that also does that status effect and triggers it, this will only count as 1-shot. -Example : You cast Poison Mist once on a target, which does not trigger the "Poisoned" effect, then attack it with a Poison weapon, resulting in weapon damage + the poison effect damage, this will all count as 1-shot and therefore grant you 2 points if it results in a target down.
