I have been using @Mecabricks for @LEGO animation due to its amazing @BlenderOfficial import feature. I wanted to be able to do simple face animations, but wasn’t finding an easy way. There is what appears to be an amazing add-in to Blender called “MecaFace”, but I didn’t want to dive that deep. Fortunately, I found a video (linked below) that showed generally how to animate textures using Nodes, and I was able to adapt it to the models that are imported using the Mecabricks Blender Importer. I hope someone finds it useful! This technique allows you to easily use keyframes in the animation timeline to change the face on your Minifig characters.
