Lighting your scene in any rendering application is a fundamental step, and one way to do so is with a panoramic EXR/HDR file. This is really convenient, allowing for easy reuse of this lighting setup. But how do you craete/find such EXR files? Well one way is to use sources like fior open source images, another is to buy an expensive 360degree camera and associate postprocessing software, but the new way is to create it in Onshape! With any scene you create in Onshape (that ideally just includes the light emitting/reflecting objects) you can render this as a panoramic EXR/HDR, and then use these in subsequent Render Studios. In this video I'll take you through the whole process. Join me behind the scenes for another of my single-take rehearsals for demos that I am prepping for, test-driving new concepts, or generally practicing. Usually recorded late after all my normal work is done, you might enjoy some of the tips and tricks I hope to offer.
