This is the second of three videos that cover the design, components, and machining of my new ATC linear tool changer. As a reminder, the main goal is to be able to use my floating dust shoe design, while at the same time maximizing the number of tools in my linear tool rack - I am able to go from 9 to 24 with this design. In this video I make the pneumatic lift arm assembly that attaches to the X axis gantry support arm machined and installed earlier. Along with clips of the machining, the video ends with the proof of concept - and it works! Since the machining toolpaths, parameters, and tooling are the same as those in my recent projects I chose not to include these details in this video.
