Hello! I hope this video helps solve any problems you have with homing capthrows. I did make a small mistake when I mentioned 19 frames: It's actually 20 frames for a regular HCT (which the section was based off of); 19 frames is for MCCTs or a double throw HCTs. I mentioned 140 bpm because anything above that is genuinely good speed, but if you want to be exact 19 frames equates to seconds which is roughly 190 bpm, so you can go much faster. (I'm not gonna re-record the section/reupload over this tho) One more note about HCT vs. MCCT: While MCCT can theoretically save up to 2 frames (as I mentioned in the video briefly), that doesn’t mean it always will. The first potential frame comes from being able to initiate the home 1 frame earlier compared to HCT. However, if you weren’t already hitting the earliest possible frame with HCT, this won’t make a difference. The second frame comes only with frame-perfect home timing, which results in Cappy being slightly closer to Mario, reducing his return time by 1 frame. Thus, you will probably only experience the speed improvement once in a while.
