This expensively produced (for its time) British show used the fish-out-of-water premise to bring a hot-headed American cop to London and pair him up with a female Brit. It was quite successful in Europe; Tribune co-produced the show with London Weekend Television and remade the British opening titles into an 'explainer' for US audiences.
