The eleventh chapter of our series presents the evolution of one of the most polarizing versions of Windows. The biggest overhaul to Windows since Windows 95, Windows 8 was intended to usher Microsoft into the modern era of computing, with a huge emphasis on the touchscreen, mobile computing and modern apps. However, it was a bit too much for users to swallow, as lots of people were complaining about the new UI not being friendly for classic computer experiences.
