Welcome to Robinson Foundry. In this video I will be using the lost PLA shell method to turn a 3d print into an awesome solid aluminum casting. I started by printing the model on my 3d printer and then coated it with joint compound. I then buried the shell in sand and sodium silicate and poured in the molten aluminum. This vaporized the PLA and leaving behind an awesome casting. Please consider supporting me on Patreon. You'll receive access to Patreon only posts as well as any 3d printing files that I designed.
