I was experimenting with the iPhone lidar and noticed that certain applications allow you to export all the data. After studying this so-called Apple ARKit data, I managed to code my own program in Python that can convert LiDAR scanner data to COLMAP format. This in turn gives interesting possibilities for creating Gaussian Splatting models.
