We've got a Discord server! EDIT as of Nov 12, 2025: Someone has recently gone to Reddit with alleged emails from Steel Wool that suggest the map is a visual bug. While I'm not accusing anyone of anything, considering there's a lot of history in the fandom of people faking emails to "confirm" things that line up with their beliefs and there isn't public evidence of the emails being real that can be verified as impossible to fake, I am very hesitant to trust that the emails are legitimate, especially since this was a well-known thing that made it through the initial patches. Additionally, the alleged SW employee replying could have potentially not know whether the map was supposed to be their or not, and just assumed that it was a bug based on the way the initial emailer phrased their message. Just thought I'd give my thoughts on the matter as of the current point in time, but it's always possible it could be patched out at a later date One of the weirdest things in the FNAF 1 prototype Freddy's location underneath Murray's Costume Manor in Secret of the Mimic is the fact that the map for the FNAF 3 location is present in the building. Considering FNAF 3 was set decades after SOTM at a location that wasn't run by Fazbear Entertainment, there needs to be some sort of explanation for how Edwin Murray, and presumably William Afton and Henry Emily, would have come up with or gotten possession of this map at such an early point in the FNAF timeline. However, I think I actually know why it's there, and the answer helps solve two major debates in the fandom: the timeline placement of the Survival Logbook and when Sister Location happens.
