How to Make Your Own Fiberglass Car Parts.

In this video we go over the process I use to make about 99% of my fiberglass parts. It covers a few more tools than the previous episode but still at the ideal trade-off between quality of results vs cost. For simplicity, we do not cover the mould making step in this video. That will be covered in a future video. List of materials and tools in this video: Gloves Wax Acetone Respirator Gelcoat Gelcoat Gun ( nozzle HVLP spray gun) Styrene Resin of choice (Polyester used in this video) 225 GSM chopped strand fiberglass matt 450 GSM chopped strand fiberglass matt Chip brushes Fiberglass roller Sandpaper Cutting tool (angle grinder, air saw, rotary tool, etc...) If you would like to see how a mould like this is made, here are two videos from my channel that show both a beginner and more advanced approach. Beginner: - Making the plug and starting the mould: - Finishing the mould and making the final part: Advanced: - Plug making and starting the 3 piece mould: - Finishing and polishing the moulds: Huge thank you to High Performance Academy for supporting the channel.
