Pull the Nest Thermostat device forwards off the base plate 3. Take A Picture Of The Nest Thermostat Wiring 4. Remove the wires from the Nest Thermostat baseplate 5. Remove the Nest Thermostat baseplate by unscrewing the two screws holding it to wall 6. Pull baseplate off and wall cover plate. Your Nest Thermostat has now been removed from the wall and you can paint or remodel as needed.
