Donkey Kong Jr. is a title that's often overlooked in the grand scheme of Donkey Kong's history; it's a cute little curiosity, but not that much more. However, the arcade classic did SO much legwork in not just establishing the tone and character of the Donkey Kong series, but providing a contrast that would help springboard the Mario series into far greater prominence and popularity.
