How To Make Wooden Gears - Part 2 build and evaluation of wooden involute spur gears using basic tools (drill press and band saw). No 3d printer & no CNC milling machine needed. Please check out Part 1 of this video series on how to design gears using the Sketchup Make free software and with using what's called a software extension that I wrote to make involute spur gears. Wanted to mention this video is just my take on a way to make gears. There are a number of great methods on YouTube and the Web about different ways of making gears. I used the Machinery's Handbook 27th edition for the spur gear design calculations, and constants. Using the method in this video should help with making gears easy, quick, and accurate.
