Back to where it all began. Before the Treehouse Masters, in 1992, Pete Nelson set out to build his first ‘grown-up’ treehouse—a whimsical cedar-shingled hideaway on Salt Spring Island. With the help of friends, sketches on scrap paper, and a whole lot of grit, this 10-day build would spark a career in the trees.
