One of the first decisions to be made in aircraft design is where to place the engine. This choice has a huge impact on the later design process and hence requires careful consideration. There are two main propeller engine configurations, the tractor (aka puller) and the pusher configuration. Based on the engine placement, these two options lead to various designs which have their own pros and cons.
