My Sleep Apnea Claim Secondary To PTSD

In this video, I share the step-by-step process of how I filed and won my Obstructive Sleep Apnea (OSA) claim secondary to PTSD with weight gain as an intermediate step. I explain the importance of getting a nexus letter from a psychologist with experience in OSA secondary to PTSD claims, which helped strengthen my case. I also discuss how I used FOIA requests to track my claim’s progress after two ACE reviews. The first review resulted in a “less likely than not” decision, citing my age without considering my nexus letter or other medical evidence. After challenging this, my claim was sent back for a second ACE review, where the reviewer was tasked with resolving the conflict between the two opinions. This time, the evidence was weighed in my favor, and my claim was approved. If you're going through a similar process, or if you’re just starting your claim for OSA or PTSD, this video might offer some valuable insights and guidance. I’ll walk you through how important it is to track your claim’s status and use all available resources, including FOIA, to get a fair review. Don’t let age or misunderstandings about secondary claims prevent you from getting what you deserve.
