In this video, we cover how to add and subtract positive and negative fractions including mixed numbers. There are a few things to keep in mind when adding and subtracting fractions and mixed numbers. First, you NEED to have a common denominator. If you do not, you cannot do anything until you have one. After that decide which rule you are utilizing (LCO - Leave Change Opposite for Subtraction, or Same Signs Add and Keep, Different Signs Subtract, Keep the Sign of the Bigger Number Then You'll Be Exact for Addition).
