The Pure Mathematics Section at Imperial College London is one of the strongest in the UK, having gained the top award of 5* in both of the last two national Research Assessment Exercises. The Section currently has 15 academic staff, 2 senior research fellows, 8 Research Associates and 26 PhD students and also runs an MSc in Pure Mathematics.
