Creating Textures on 3D Print

I used ceramic 3D printing workflows to experiment with plastic 3D printing. In this video, I apply non-planar slicing and G-code manipulation techniques from clay 3D printing to plastic using Bambu Labs. The same concept served other popular printers like Creality and Prusa. I’ll walk you through my full design workflow in Blender, how we prep G-code for multiple prints in Bambu Studio and Prusa, and the final reveal of a custom 3D printed plastic lamp. If you’re a plastic 3D printer hobbyist or pro, these tips will open up a new way of thinking about G-code control, surface textures, and sculptural designs beyond standard prints.
