Consider supporting our work: Previously in our series on the world of Tolkien, the world of the Lord of the Rings, we have talked about the First and Third ages of the Middle-Earth, covering the entire of the Third Age and the war of the ring ( ), the rise of Morgoth in the First Age ( ) and his fall ( ), as well as the economy and the societies of the Middle-Earth ( ). Our new season will talk about the Armies of the Middle-Earth, starting with the armies of the Elves of the First Age ( ), followed by the Dwarven armies of the First Age ( ) and the human armies, as we talk about the race of men - Edain, houses of Beor, Haleth, Hador and the Easterlings ( ). Episode 5 moves into the 2nd age and the armies of the Elfs and Elven Kingdoms, including Eregion, Imladris, Lindon, Lothlorien and the Woodland Realm, as well as how they fared during the War of the last Alliance ( ), while the sixth discussed the armies of the Dwarves of the 2nd age ( ). Episode 7 will describe the armies of Numenor, how they defeated Sauron and influenced the future Numenorean states ( ), while the 8th will talk about the Armies of Rohan ( ) and the Isengard and Dunland of Saruman during the War of the Rohirrim and the War of the Ring ( ). We will then go back and talk about the armies of Sauron in the Second Age ( ), and return to the Third Age to cover the armies of the Hobbits ( ) and the Dwarves ( ) and learn how the Elves helped defeat Sauron.
