See my lecture in the Maya system in the description. 21:29 Later it was realized that 1/0 is only infinity in the limit (approaching zero as closely as you like) but is undefined precisely at zero. For otherwise, you quickly end up with contradictions that blow up the mathematical system. ("1/0 = infinity" implies "infinity x 0 = 1," but anything multiplied by zero is zero. So this would mean "infinity x 0" can either be zero or one. Which means that 1 = 0. This breaks down math. Also, if you approach zero from the negative side, you will find with the same reasoning that 1/0 is minus infinity. And it can't be both infinity and minus infinity #/media/File: ).
