As a videographer, I collect many terabytes of footage each year in my career. I’ve tried finding a good storage management system for a long time - using various hard drives, multiple backups, online cloud storage, and so forth. It was hard to stay organized and I was constantly just waiting for the day that my hard drives would fail me. I finally chose to invest in a Synology NAS (Network Attached Storage) and I couldn’t be more happy with my decision. In this video, I explain to you why I use a NAS and I walk you through exactly how I set it up. I show you what I bought, how I installed it, and tried to explain how these systems work in layman’s terms to help you understand. I really tried to make this video as helpful as I could. I hope you enjoy! Thank you so much for watching!
