I am just including this video to show the last step I did to get my transmission to work the way I wanted, and expected. I am not proficient with this software, and am not recommending anyone follow these steps. Use at your own risk! FORScan is a software scanner specifically for FORD that has more options than the typical OBD2 scanner. In this video, we use FORScan to program the TCM in a 2016 FORD Focus, which has a 2014 Transmission in it. The software allows, among many other options, for a user to download and install updates to their TCM from the Ford website, and also download different calibration files and calibrate your TCM that way, which is what we did. I read in the FORScan forum that some people choose a different calibration for a more aggressive rpm shift etc, to customize their cars. Some steps or links may have changed since I wrote this, and a few steps are from memory, so you may need to do a bit more to get it setup, but is the basic idea… In a browser, Go to Click Products Click Buy 1 year Extended License on NOTE: You can also get the 2 month free trial, but I didn't go this route. The purchase is done through at the time of this writing I registered for an account at , but it said I could purchase as a guest. Click Add to Cart and Checkout. It asked me for a civic address, and I put in a fake civic address with my real name, as i figured it may cross check your name and your credit card info. It asks for your email address. Click Payment method and add cc information. I then received an email with both a forum invitation code and FORScan activation code The beta version of the software is needed to calibrate the Ford Focus TCM. The beta version link for the software is located in this locked forum In a browser, go to Register for the forum and it will require you to have that invitation code from your email At the bottom, click The latest v2.4 is available for download in the hidden forum (for registered users only). A new page opens and at the bottom, click Link to download beta Save the exe to your laptop and double click the downloaded file to install. It will ask you for your FORScan activation code from the email. Purchase this OBD11 adapter (OBDLink EX FORScan OBD Adapter): Download this driver for it In a browser, go to Download this driver file to your laptop Under the word Drivers Click the link: FTDI Virtual COM Port Driver Save file to your laptop Double click file to install You should be good to use the software! I found two calibration files for the 2014 Ford Focus, and went to to download them under the calibration files link. In testing, I found that I needed to let the software load the boot loader file, from the internet, and then I used the calibration file for a 2014.
