Do these functions have the same domain?

The domain of a function is always a tricky part of precalculus. We often need to solve quadratic or rational inequalities and determine the domain in interval notation. Sometimes two functions look the same but they actually have different domains! Remember, the domain of a rational function numerator/denominator is that the denominator cannot be 0. The domain of a square root function sqrt(inside) is that the inside has to be bigger than or equal to 0. The domain of a log(inside) is the inside has to be bigger than 0. We will compare three pairs of functions and also determine their domains in interval notation. ----------------------------- Support this channel and get my calculus notes on Patreon: 👉 Get the coolest math shirts from my Amazon store 👉 ----------------------------- #calculus #bprpcalculus #apcalculus #tutorial #math 0:00 ex 1, domain of rational functions 2:17 ex 2, domain of square root functions 8:45 ex 3, domain of logarithmic functions
