Hollow Knight: Silksong is easily one of the greatest games I have ever played, but the discussion surrounding the game has unfortunately resurfaced the age-old debate over difficulty in video games. This reminded me of when a similar debate surfaced following the release of Elden Ring, which got me thinking about how both Silksong and Elden Ring are designed, and how that design can be often misunderstood by players.
