In this video I turn an old leaf spring into a real, functional version of Thorfinn’s dagger from Vinland Saga. I straightened the spring, shaped the blade using stock removal, refined the bevels, heat-treated it, and finished it as a clean custom Viking-style knife. The shape of this dagger is slightly different from the anime version because I redesigned it to be more practical, realistic, and useable in real life while still keeping the Thorfinn style. I made this build using minimal equipment, working mostly with my grandfather’s old garage tools, proving you don’t need a full workshop to make a solid blade. I didn’t upload every single step because the video would’ve been too long, but all the most important parts of the build are in here — from raw leaf spring to the final dagger.
